Redding dragstrip has gone through a pretty extensive facelift since 2019 when the Cartel had been there last. The bigger upgrades include 40 acres of new asphalt to pit in, concrete k-rail in place of the old steel guardrail and, most impressive, a whole new concrete racing surface. These upgrades made for a safer racing environment and needless to say the racers were excited to be one of the first events to happen on the new track surface.
