To understand the hype levels you must understand the scene on the island of Tenerife. The island is the largest in Spain, despite being situated about 200 miles off the coast of Africa. It’s home to just under one million people.
These may not sound like the ingredients for a cannabis hot spot, but add in the five million tourists that visit the island from Europe every year and you’ll get a better idea of why things are blowing up in the cannabis club and association scene. Spain is a legal gray area for cannabis, where it is legal to smoke and grow cannabis for personal use.
