There is an isiZulu proverb that says: “Uma ungazi ukuthi uyaphi noma umuphi umgwaqo uzokufikisa”. This is well translated by the famous quote by writer Lewis Carroll: “If you do not know where you are going, any road will lead you there.”
There is great wisdom in this saying, and when I look at how many of us get bogged down in our humdrum lives, we are often on a road whose destination we do not know. In our professional careers, we walk a path whose destination we do not want to know.
