former runner, with a lifelong passion for gym training, chef Chris Baber specialises in tasty recipes made with healthy twists, fresh ingredients and minimal fuss. Easy, the title of his debut cookbook, sums up his philosophy: Baber cooks simple but nutritious ‘fakeaways’ like chicken tikka masala; healthy versions of British classics like lentil and mushroom cottage pie; and speedy one-pan dishes like chicken and chorizo bakes.
“This is real cooking for real people with real lives,” insists the 31-year-old. “I know how it feels to get back from a training session and think, How do Imake something that tastes incredible, but is easy to put together? Alot of that also came from when I moved to London and had the smallest kitchen known to man, in this tiny flat. I just had the basics: pot, pan and tray.”
