You will need

Solid or print fabric in the following colours:

■ Grey (Tin) – 8in x 9in

■ Charcoal (Raven) – 5in x 5in

■ Dark-taupe (Shadow) – 6in x 6in

■ Pale-grey (Cloud) – 5in x 5in

■ Off-white (Ivory) – 11in x 15in

■ Jade green (Verde) – 9in x 11in

■ Green (Parrot) – 12in x 12in

■ Mauve (Crocus) – 9in x 10in

■ Mid-pink (Candy) – 5in x 9in

■ Sky blue (Bali) for background – One (1) fat quarter

■ 4in piece of thin card

■ Aluminium foil

■ Water-soluble pen or similar

■ Fine matching thread for needle-turn appliqué such as Aurifil 80wt cotton

Finished size

■ 18in x 18in

Notes

■ Jo used Dashwood Pop Solids throughout (colours given in brackets).

■ Use ³/₁₆in seam allowance for needle-turn appliqué.

■ RST = right sides together.

■ HST = half-square triangle.
