BUILDING BETTER BOCAGE

This project began when I agreed to run a wargame table at the inaugural Ouseing Lard event in Bedford. I had several months to plan and build my terrain and I decided to put on a large Normandy table focusing on the road between Dead Man’s Corner and Saint-Côme-du-Mont. I was going to need a lot of bocage. Although I already had many separate hedges, I wanted to create a varied set of modular bocage-lined road pieces that could be reused for any layout and would present a visually integrated system.
