As with many of my model builds, it started with an internet search, but in this case I found myself sketching hedges while watching TV and it was these simple pencil sketches that were the basis of these models.
I used 3 mm thick plastic card for the bases and a well-used, second-hand floor scrubbing or polishing disc as the basic hedge materials. The floor scrubbing disc was given to me some years ago, and although I have used small sections in the past, the bulk of the disc is
