GHOST HUNTERS
A few stories about ghost hunters appeared in the press recently. In Carinthia and Styria, Austria, Michael (48), Robert (45), Bernhard (45) and Alina (26) have formed “Project Otherworld” to search for the spirits of the deceased. “We do not believe in ghosts”, they say, “we know they exist.” Beside the usual high tech ghost hunting tools, they deploy a teddy bear. “The soft toy contains four touch sensitive alarms. As soon as someone touches it, they go off.” They search – as most Central European ghost hunters do – not in haunted places, but rather at “lost” or atmospheric sites. When at the castle ruin of Neu Gleichenberg in Styria, they “established contact with a soul who told us her name. It was a woman who had been burned as a witch,” Michael explained.
