BRUSHES ARE KEY

I use a range of watercolour brushes, but my favourites are undoubtedly my Round Da Vinci Maestro sable, Series 35, No. 8, as it is the most useful, and a No. 16 Da Vinci Casaneo, which is used for washes. Square brushes give watercolours a pleasing contemporary look and I like the ¾in. Daler-Rowney One-Stroke flat and a 10mm Winsor & Newton Professional Water Colour sable. For the biggest washes I use a No. 30 Da Vinci Cosmotop Round mop and a large 2in. Ron
