Take a good look at this incredible road and track Mk1 Cortina, and you’d be forgiven for thinking that it’s been put together by someone with a long history of owning and building classic Fords. Everything on the car has been well thoughtthrough, it looks and sits spot-on, and as you pore over the details, there’s really nothing that jars. Watching showgoers wandering around the car after its Great Unveiling reveal at the Classic Ford Show back in July confirmed this — all we could see were heads nodding in approval.

You may be surprised to read then that despite mucking around with cars for years, its owner and creator, Kevin May, only really got into the classic Ford scene five years ago and this is his first, complete build.
