Ancient Roman reality
If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to step back into Ancient Rome, a new bus tour in the city can help. An exciting new 3D experience launched in summer 2022, aiming to bring the city’s rich ancient history to life for tourists. The Virtual Reality Bus departs from Piazza della Madonna di Loreto several times a day and the tour lasts 30 minutes. It uses cuttingedge technology and VR displays – created under the guidance of archaeologists – to showcase Rome’s landmarks as they would have looked 2,000 years ago. A system of motorised curtains even allows passengers to compare the past with how each site looks today. And to make the experience even more immersive, an automated system releases scents to evoke the feel of some historical sites along the route. Find out more or buy tickets at www.vrbusroma.it
