For anyone seeking a dream life in Italy, homes don’t come much dreamier than this villa on Liguria’s Sestri Levante peninsula, which is for sale (POA) with Lionard Luxury Real Estate. The property stands in the very place that inspired Hans Christian Andersen’s famous tale – the Danish writer stayed in the area in 1833 and wrote his story soon after, thought to be influenced by the local legend of the forbidden love between the merman Tigullio and the mermaid Segesta.
