Having a difficult conversation with your builder can seem quite intimidating. But it shouldn’t be, we are all human and the misperception of us doesn’t help — we’re in 2022 now, not 1972, and tradespeople and builders are generally very approachable. Quite simply, if they’re not, you shouldn’t have employed them. And as I have mentioned before, paperwork and preparation is key to a job running smoothly.
But there is always the odd time when the client and builder have to have a ‘difficult’ conversation. This could be for confusion over extras, the job over-running, the homeowner being unreasonable and so on.
