What’s the correct height for kitchen worktops?
The standard height, from the floor to the surface of kitchen worktops, is 910mm.
If this doesn’t suit you, there’s nothing wrong with specifying your own height when you are installing bespoke cabinetry to ensure that it is comfortable to work at and use, but this is not an option if you’re buying pre-made modular units.
It is also worth bearing in mind that there is no reason why you have to stick to the same height for all your worksurfaces — in fact, varying the height at which the different surfaces are set, according to what the function they will be used for, is a brilliant way to ensure your kitchen works perfectly for you. It also creates a kitchen with added visual interest.
