Visiting boat boost

A new water taxi office and new shower facilities are being built at a popular Isle of Wight pub on the River Medina.

The Folly Inn’s jetty is also being refurbished, a heated pergola installed, along with an extended waterside patio, and outdoor kitchen and bar which will open next spring. The pub is closed for the revamp, which also includes a new fireplace, furniture, and bi-fold doors along two elevations to provide views over the water. It will reopen on 7 November.
