Got a new iPhone 14? Do these 8 things first

So you just got a new iPhone, you got everything transferred from your old phone and now you’re playing with your shiny new toy. What do you do first? Obviously, you’re going to check out the apps you already have been using on your old iPhone for so long, marvelling at how fast they load and how smooth and responsive everything is. Then what? Here are our suggestions for the first eight things you should do.

1. UPDATE TO IOS 16.0.1

If you have an iPhone 14-series handset Apple has an update that you should install right away. According to Apple’s release notes (fave.co/3DVdiZm) iOS 16.0.1 addresses the following issues:

• Unable to receive FaceTime calls or Messages.

• Message sent to another
