FABRIC CUTTING GUIDES

The amount of each fabric listed in our Materials List (published in Homespun 23.2) and included in the kits available from patchwork shops around Australia has been calculated without much surplus. This ensures you're not paying money for fabric you won't use. It is important, therefore, that you cut each fabric carefully, avoiding wastage.

To make things easier, detailed scale diagrams illustrating the shapes to be cut from every fabric used in the project are now available on the Homespun website at www.homespun.net.au. Have a look at them before you cut your fabrics for each block.

Another step you can take to ensure you'll have sufficient fabric to complete your project is to pre-cut some of the larger pieces now, even though they won't be used until later instalments. Refer to the diagrams as you cut the patches listed below. Label the shapes and put them aside until you need to use them.
