MATERIALS

• Red Heart Comfort medium (worsted) weight acrylic yarn (16 oz/ 867 yds/454g per ball):

2 balls #3094 black

• Medium (worsted) weight yarn: 85 yds each of assorted colors

• Size 7/4.5mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge

• Tapestry needle

GAUGE

Blooming Granny Square: Rnds 1-3 = 3½ inches in diameter

Center Wheel Square: Rnds 1 & 2 = 3½ inches in diameter

PATTERN NOTES

Blanket is made of 72 squares in 4 different motifs and any assortment of colors. All Squares, except Blooming Granny, are worked in specified numbers of “plain” (one color) and “fancy” (multicolored). Fancy Squares can be worked in 2-5 colors with color changes made at ends of rounds. Change colors in fancy Squares by changing color in join (see Special Technique).

Instructions are written without indication of color changes so changes can be made where desired.

Weave in loose ends as work progresses.
