I remember when I was pregnant with my first child, who is now 13, and I realised we had a whole year of weddings to go to, sober. I had just turned 30 and it seemed as though everyone we knew was getting married. As someone who is usually first to hit the prosecco and the dance floor, I found it very hard not being able to celebrate with the obligatory glass (or bottle) of fizz.
