Thank you so much for the excellent article The Trouble with Monocultures (July issue) by Becky Searle.
Just at the point of lockdown we were offered a most wonderful double plot with a rich estuary soil in which everything grew. Within a month, March ‘20, my son was also offered a large collection of gardening books, dating back to the 1940s. We took many to the allotment and left them on the bench for other allotment holders.
