FLOWER power

Photos taken decades apart have won hearts around the world. Paul and Sandy Szewc first took a snap of themselves posing next to a 3.6m sunflower back in 1984. Paul had invited Sandy over to see the plants he’d grown and one of the botanical beauties was, ‘I really wanted to woo her and it clearly worked.’ The pair went on to marry and have two sons, Jason and Kyle. With their green fingers they grew sunflowers together, and were over the moon to spot a giant one in July 2021. The now grandparents recreated the pose, and son Jason snapped the special photo.
