‘I love taking sceptics on ghost hunts’

Laura Brown, 40, is a ghost hunter and lives in Blackburn with her husband Stephen, 40, and their four children.

As a child I lived in a house where spooky things often happened. Doors rattling, objects moving without explanation, and a picture in the hallway once even crashed down the stairs without any warning.

‘I WASN’T SCARED, I WAS FASCINATED’

I was never scared though. My parents just shrugged it off and made sure I knew it wasn’t anything to be afraid of. In fact, I found it all fascinating. And as on the telly. So, five years ago, I took up ghost hunting as a hobby.
