North American hunter, FRANK CEAN WINS INAUGURAL Rigby Dagga Boy Awards

Designed to gather scientific data while highlighting the importance that a buffalo's age is more important than its ‘inches’, the biennial award is designed to promote ethical hunting and a healthier, stronger population of all six species of African buffalo.

Only bulls that surpassed breeding age and were hunted from wild and free-ranging, self-sustaining herds, in an ethical, fair chase, track, walk-and-stalk manner were eligible for entry. To take part, hunters were simply requested to email a detailed description of the hunt, as well as photos of qualifying bulls they have taken in the past 10 years up to the end of the 2021 hunting season.
