If anyone had ever told me that I would be writing an article for a 4x4 magazine about a trip I was going to take through Africa, I would have laughed out loud. I don’t even know how to change a flat tyre, let alone drive a 4x4! And anyway, I’m in the South African music industry, looking after the intellectual property of artists and organising big music festivals. The closest I have come to 4x4-ing is racing from point A to point B on a four-wheeler during my festivals and functions… And yet, here I am, doing exactly that!
During the pandemic, our music industry came to an abrupt standstill. I suddenly had a lot of time on my hands and wondered how I could help my fellow South Africans.
