Beat / How was the time since the last album - also in view of the Corona crisis?

Elliot / At first, we thought it would be good to use the time to be creative. But after about four weeks, the pressure we put on ourselves became quite intense. We had so much free time, but I often didn‘t feel inspired at all. There seemed to be no end to the crisis, and somehow it made everything seem pointless when you‘re not working towards a goal. That made me feel quite depressed. We stopped working on the record for the time being, which took the pressure off. Originally it wasn‘t supposed to be an Editors album at all. We worked with Ben, but at first we didn‘t know where it was going.
