FEEDBACK
RUSTY NEVER SLEEPS
Greetings from Austin, Texas. Thank you so much for the two-page feature on our Resurrection Of Rust CD [Instant Karma, August issue]. After 50 years of trying, I signed my first record contract last year and now a two-page feature in Uncut! Where will it end, I wonder? I knew all I had to do was be patient and it would all eventually happen for me.
is not readily available on the magazine stands in Texas, so a friend sent me a copy, and what an edition it is! In the late ’60s I was in the Traffic fanclub, Family were my favourite UK band and Buffalo Springfield my favourite US band. I also had a great fondness for Peter Green and Richie Furay, Roger Chapman, Chris Blackwell and Christine Perfect. You also managed to drag up some obscure and new background info on the early days of The Beatles. If there’d been a couple of pages on Mick Farren and The Deviants, it would almost appear that I’d edited the perfect issue myself. I should probably be embarrassed to admit that I’ve never heard of Osees or Sessa, but I suspect they’ve never heard of me either.
