Canaries Month by Month: AUGUST

JANUARY FEBRUARY MARCH APRIL MAY JUNE JULY AUGUST SEPTEMBER OCTOBER NOVEMBER DECEMBER

AS AUGUST arrived, my breeding operations were over, and I managed a few days away from home on a break with two of my younger grandchildren. My daughter looked after my birds and did a great job. It’s payback time now, as I look after her various marine fish and rabbits for a couple of weeks while she and her family visit Mr Disney.

The point I am making is that there is still life beyond birds. Serious breeders tend to have tunnel vision, yet you can still take a break with the help of friends, neighbours or relations – and even fellow birdkeepers.
