magine the scene: it’s a beautiful afternoon and you’re on a ride in the countryside following your mate along some lovely country lanes. Suddenly, and without any warning, a car pulls out of a junction. Your mate runs straight into the side of it, being catapulted over the bonnet. At the same time his girlfriend, who was riding pillion, is thrown over a hedgerow by the side of the road. You stop, run over to your mate and find him lying in a crumpled heap on the floor. He’s unconscious and laid in a strange position. Because
