Pauline Holmes, 62, is a slam poet and lives in Gillingham with her husband Carson, 70, and their lurcher, Lizzie.
Cosied up between my two great-nephews and great-niece, I started to regale them with a fairy tale about a magical unicorn.
It was April 2016 and we were on a family holiday in Northumberland. I’d volunteered to help with bedtime, and now the children, aged between six and 10, gasped and shrieked as I captivated them with my story.
Only, there was no book in front of me. Instead, I was making it up as I went along, with suggestions and prompts from the kids.
It got me thinking – maybe I could take this creativity further. I’d spent the last eight years as a Pilates teacher but
