George Clooney and Gladys Knight are among the 2022 Kennedy Center honorees

The awards recognize a lifetime of achievement in the performing arts. This year they'll go to George Clooney, Amy Grant, Gladys Knight, Tania León and U2.
Kennedy Center 2022 honorees

The recipients of the 45th Kennedy Center Honors have been announced.

The performing artists recognized for their lifetime contributions to American culture include actor and filmmaker George Clooney; contemporary Christian and pop singer ; venerable gospel, soul and R&B star; Pulitzer Prize-winning composer, conductor and educator ; and four Irish musicians you may know best as the rock band .
