here are five places in the world that are said to be home to the healthiest people, who live the longest. Dubbed ‘Blue Zones’ by founder Dan Buettner, the areas are Loma Linda in the US, Okinawa in Japan, Ikaria in Greece, Sardinia in Italy and Nicoya in Costa Rica. Scientific research found that there were more men aged 100 years and over living in Sardinia than anywhere else in the world. Buettner and his team then pinpointed four more regions of extreme longevity, finding that all five zones shared specific lifestyle habits.
