Unloved visions

Kraftwerk had reached the peak of their fame in 1982. With their last three albums „Trans Europa Express“ (1977), „Die Mensch-Maschine“ (1978) and „Computerwelt“ (1981), the band had reinvented itself and had an international breakthrough. „Das Modell“ climbed to the top of the charts. The tours for each new release became longer, the stadiums larger, the media response more intense, the audience reactions more euphoric. The quartet became a significant source of inspiration for the new generation of electronics inventors. Madonna identified herself as a fan, Elton John thought about a collaboration, Michael Jackson asked the band to produce „Thriller“. But they only wanted one thing: to make their own music again as quickly as possible.
