All Diese Gewalt: Andere

he name may be misleading at first, as it sounds like a punk band. But there is subtle music behind it. Responsible for it is Max Rieger, singer of the indie band Die Nerven. „Andere“ is the second full-length album of the project and, in contrast to the debut „Welt in Klammern“, it sounds more pleasant, catchier and calmer. Especially the instrumental arrangements are impressive, combining electronic and rock music into a spherical, pompous symphonic mixture that forms an ideal foundation for Rieger‘s exalted German singing. That sounds like innumerable tracks and enjoyment via headphones is recommended to appreciate all the small details. A deeply melancholy hybrid of Die Nerven, Polarkreis 18 and Vangelis maybe? Either way, an impressive album!
