THE RUFFLE DRESS

YOU WILL NEED

■ Fabric for outer and lining*

■ Elastic, 1cm wide: up to 1m

■ Crinoline (optional)

■ Rolled hem foot (optional)

■ Elastic thread

NOTES

■ Seam allowance is 1.5cm.

PATTERN PIECES

■ Front: two on fold

■ Side Back: four

■ Centre Back: one

■ Front Skirt: one on fold

■ Side Seam Pockets: two pairs

■ Sleeve Top Base: two

■ Sleeve Top Ruffle: two

■ Sleeve Bottom Ruffle: two.

MAKING THE PATTERN FRONT

Step one Measure 5cm towards centre of Front Bodice, at level of the lowest armhole notch, and mark a point A. From this point, create a new armhole curve.

Step two Draw a line perpendicular to the centre front to meet point A – this is our new front neckline. Add 1.5cm
