MUM IS A CHAMPION!

My mum, Maureen McMillan, turned 75 years young this year. She has been stitching since I can remember, she’s even won awards for her work. She makes personalised cards for all her children and her grandchildren for every birthday, new school, Easter, Halloween and Christmas. Over the years they’ve added up to a truly lovely collection. The love poured into each card is obvious, and the children love them. Cross stitch is almost a therapy to help mum with her mental wellbeing. She has survived breast cancer and has arthritis in her hands. Due to delays in her regular treatments because of Covid, for the first time ever she hasn’t been able to sew and it has really affected her. So, while she waits for the treatment and given it’s a special birthday year I thought I would ask if you could feature her in your magazine. She’s very special and her cards bring so much joy, so we wanted to say thank you. Love from her daughters and very lucky grandchildren.
