Whenever I see rainbows I think of Kermit the Frog singing The Rainbow Connection
from The Muppet Movie.
That is the premise of this quilt – just connect the rainbows of fabric scraps!
When Kelli was growing up, she loved to play in the scrap bin. Not much has changed. We start quilts by making a mess of our scrap bin. Rainbow Connection is a great quilt for fabric petters
like us. We started out by sorting out piles of red, orange, yellow, blue, green and purple scraps. Of course conversations started: Oh this scrap was from this project and this scrap was from that project...
This beginner-friendly quilt can be completed with no seams to match. It is great practice for cutting even strips and sewing straight seams. Just dig out your scrap bin (or dive into your mom’s) and start cutting 3 ½" wide strips. You can do
