On Saturday, the qualifying session ended with Aprilia’s Aleix Espargaro taking pole position for his home Grand Prix. Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) qualified second and Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha) completed the front row for the start of the race.
At the lights, Quartararo got off to a great start and passed Aleix to get into the lead going into the first corner. Right behind him, a scary incident took three riders out of the race. Takaaki Nakagami (LCR Honda Idemitsu),
