The qualifying session saw three Italian rookies secure the top spots in their home race. Fabio Di Giannantonio from the Gresini Racing Ducati squad qualified in first place, followed by the Mooney VR46 duo of Marco Bezzecchi and Luca Marini in second and third respectively.
