It’s a scandal Prince Charles could do without. It’s been revealed that the heir to the throne accepted donations totalling $5m in cash – including one payment of more than $1m stuffed into plastic carrier bags – from a Middle Eastern politician.
The money was for one of Charles’ charities, Prince of Wales’s Charitable Fund (PWCF) and there’s no suggestion that the payments were illegal. Charities are allowed to accept cash donations, even for that
