For Louisa Brown, summer holidays always meant Thorpeness, a seaside hamlet on the East Anglia coast about 30 miles south of Great Yarmouth. “The summers of my childhood were all spent here, and I’ve brought my own children here since they were babies – they are now teenagers. It’s a special, charming, unspoilt village.”
