When Louise and Adam Bovingdon bought a neglected 1930s semi back in 2015, they knew that with a large back garden and space to extend, the potential was there to turn it into their dream home. However, it was to be a long journey with some unexpected obstacles before the couple could realise their vision. ‘With a small, 30-year-old timber-clad kitchen and a jarring blue bathroom, the property was run-down and in desperate need of updating,’ Louise recalls. ‘Nevertheless, it was well-proportioned and had a good feel.’
