Model ‘A’ Sport (1948 late)

Classic Scooterist had been invited to view a museum-quality restoration of an ‘A’ Sport from the skilled engineers at the workshop of Howard Chambers and, following other superb restored machines from this source, we witnessed yet another outstanding example of the same craftsmanship.

THE FIRST PRODUCTION LAMBRETTA

In 1946, Piaggio pipped Innocenti to the post as the first volume scooter manufacturer with its Model 98. Innocenti launched its first production scooter just over a year later in the form of the 125M, or Moto. This machine would become the forerunner of an illustrious family that would continue until the demise of Italian production of that marque in 1972.
