Global food crisis still making headlines, but SA holding its own

he big stories in the media at the end of May were focused on the potential global food crisis. The effects of the Russia-Ukraine war on the grains and oilseeds markets, along with India’s ban on the export of wheat, have added to the anxiety surrounding this issue. In addition, we are keeping a close watch on the 2022/23 global supplies of grains and oilseeds amid concerns over the drought in parts of the US and Europe.
