Nidhi Sunil wowed on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival – where we caught up with her – in a bejewelled lehenga (embroidered skirt) by celebrated Indian designer and stylist Manish Malhotra.
“It’s cool to be here because there aren’t a lot of Indians at the festival,” says the 35-year-old Kerala-born model and activist. “It’s nice to be representing that part of the world. I feel very lucky that I get to do that.”
