WE FEEL FOR THE SITUATION IN UKRAINE - FOR THE PEOPLE AND THE ENGINES

he date of February 24th 2022 will long stick in our memories since that was the day lists four road steam engines in the country, three of which are illustrated here, courtesy of internet searches. It’s not known whether these interesting and somewhat rare engines, to UK enthusiasts, will have been affected by what continues to happen in the country but it was felt appropriate that some recognition should be made in the magazine to the fact that road steam was used and was preserved in the country that has often been termed ‘the bread basket of Europe’.
