STEP BY STEP How to take clematis cuttings
Take summer cuttings of clematis to increase your collection of these fowering climbers. Cut off the new long shoots from your clematis and put them straight into a wet polythene bag to keep the material fresh, otherwise, they will wilt very quickly.
In the propagator, clematis cuttings often show shoots first and will then root over a few weeks. Expect to pot them on a couple of times before planting into the garden.
