For girls you’ll wonder if “pretty in pink” is all she’s going to want to grow up to be, and for your son you will wonder if society is training him to become comfortable with war and weapons of mass destruction. And despite your efforts to steer your children towards more gender-friendly toys and games, your kids protest. She wants the Barbie with the shiniest ball gown, and he wants the action figure with the scariest face!

You may feel fairly bemused by this as, after all you were the parent who was determined to raise your child without fixed ideas of gender roles.
