98 Ramey 2019 Hyde Vineyard Chardonnay (Carneros). From the great site—a marriage made in heaven with this producer—this wine is vibrant in lemon peel and tangerine. Fresh, focused and complex in structure, it presents a richness of Asian pear and spiced oak that develops as it opens on the midpalate. Lush and weighty, this wine has been made since 1996. —V.B.

98 Ramey 2019 Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay (Russian River Valley). This is an outstanding vintage from this stellar site. It’s been a vineyard-designate for Ramey since 2002, the block planted to a portion of Musqué. Tangerine, grapefruit and wet stone underscore the sharp acidity and enduring freshness—the wine sleek and fine-tuned. Orange and apple-blossom aromas jump from the glass and contribute to its gorgeous appeal. —V.B.

96 Hartford Court 2019 Fog Dance Chardonnay (Green Valley). With a delicate opening of vibrant acidity, this wine offers an all-around ethereal quality of sea air and salty stone.
