How did your relationship with Donkey Kong 3 begin?

The first time I saw the game was at a South Pasadena Boys Club in 1985. I was around nine or ten at the time. While I was OK in certain games I excelled at . In 1986 I got a score of 1.45m. They had just put up a scoreboard and I had the highest score. I had to move at the time, and thought some older kid would eventually beat it, but when I came back six months later the score still stood strong.
