Time to rethink 2FA?

A few days ago I was standing by the road when a van came past and snatched my phone out of my hands. (Okay, to be pedantic, the van didn’t snatch it, the driver did.) The phone is so locked-down that doing anything with it will be tough, but nevertheless, after using Find My to set it to erase, I set about changing passwords. I listen to the security gurus and have random long passwords and two-factor authentication turned on for a lot of things, and for a few that two-factor is via an app rather than SMS. I’m sure you know where this is going.
